UAB Renews Old Rivalry with Southern Miss

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB softball team goes on the road this weekend to Hattiesburg, Miss. to meet up with Southern Miss in Conference USA action.
The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday, April 7 with Game 1 starting at 1 p.m. CT. Game 2 will start approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1. First pitch for Game 3 on Sunday, April 8 is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT.
The Blazers and Golden Eagles have played 60 times, the most UAB has faced one opponent, in the program's 19-year history.
Both teams are in a bit of a slump as UAB has dropped its last two games while Southern Miss has lost seven in a row. Despite the slump, the Blazers have won their last two conference series and currently rank third in Conference USA.
