BIRMINGHAM – A season of firsts continues for the No. 16 UAB bowling team this weekend when it travels to Wilmington, Delaware, to compete in its first-ever Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) meet at Pleasant Hill Lanes.
UAB is off to a hot start this season, boasting back-to-back top-10 finishes in its first two competitions of the season. On the year, the Green and Gold are 15-11.
"We are really looking forward to our first-ever MEAC Tournament," head coach Michelle Crews said. "The girls are coming off two solid performances to begin the season, but I know they are hungry to keep improving as we work towards a conference championship. I am excited to watch the girls bowl this weekend."
The Blazers were solid last weekend, notching a 10th place team finish. Redshirt junior Caitlin Cunningham was dominant individually, totaling 1,085 pins to claim second place overall and garner All-Tournament honors for the first time in her career.
