Blazers to Wrap 2025 at Colonial Lanes Classic

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - UAB Bowling travels to New Orleans for the Colonial Lanes Classic, hosted by Tulane. The trip is the final competition of 2025 for the Blazers before UAB hits a packed 2026 slate. UAB will match up against five top-15 teams this weekend, with the possibility of facing three other top-10 teams during Sunday's bracket play.
LAST TIME OUT
Two weeks ago, the Blazers finished third at MEAC 1 in Baltimore. The Blazers went 4-3 against their seven MEAC opposition, tied for third with Morgan State and Coppin State, but held the tiebreaker with the best pinfall of the tied programs. UAB finished second best with a 179.3 average pinfall, behind No. 7 North Carolina A&T with 187.5.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The three-day tournament will consist of five baker matches on Friday and five traditional matches on Saturday. Total pinfall between the 10 matches will determine seeding for Sunday's bracket format. Best-of-7 baker matches will be played during bracket play, crowning a champion after three rounds of play.

The rest of the field consists of Florida A&M, No. 7 North Carolina A&T, No. 19 Tulane, No. 3 Vanderbilt, and No. 5 Wichita State. The Blazers could face any of the five opponents on Sunday's bracket play.
BLAZER OUTLOOK
Head Coach Michelle Crews will be traveling nine bowlers to the Colonial Lanes Classic. Savannah Schneider, Regina Moreno, Amber Longwell, Jordan Shipp, Madelynn Oliva, Madison Colston, Jordan Wingerter, Anella Tillman, and Alexis Meadows will all make the trip to New Orleans. Meadows travels for the first time in her collegiate career.
