BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB women's soccer team has designated Sept. 8-10 as Family Weekend, head coach Erica Demers announced on Thursday.
All family members and friends of current UAB players, as well as women's soccer alumni are encouraged to attend. Family Weekend provides a great opportunity and atmosphere for socializing with other Blazer families, forming new and strengthening old friendships and building stronger relationships with current players and coaches.
The cost for the weekend is $50 per person, and each person in attendance will receive a T-shirt, a gift bag and dinner on Friday and Saturday night.
"We're really excited about Family Weekend and all that we have planned," Demers said. "Family, friends and alumni play such an important role in the success of our program, so it's always important to welcome them back to campus as much as possible. We can't wait to see everyone back here in Birmingham."
The Blazers host Tennessee Tech Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. and welcome Belmont to BBVA Compass Field Sept. 10 at 1 p.m.
Anyone interested should fill out the attached attendance form and email it to Rebecca Whittle at rwhittle@uab.edu. For more information, contact Whittle at 205-259-9674.
