UAB Announces Start Time for C-USA Basketball Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB men’s basketball team has elected to play its opening game of the Conference USA Men’s Basketball Championships at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8 at Legacy Arena, the university announced on Tuesday.
As tournament host, UAB is afforded the opportunity to select its starting time from a group of four predetermined tip-off times. Session one games include starting times of 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., while session two features tip times of 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.
UAB (15-14, 8-8) currently sits in seventh place in the league standings with two games remaining. The Blazers host Florida Atlantic Thursday at 7 p.m. and conclude the regular season Saturday at 7 p.m. against FIU.
The complete Conference USA Men’s Basketball Championships bracket will be released Saturday after the completion of all league games.
Tickets to the C-USA Championships are on sale now. All-Session tickets provide access to all six sessions at Legacy, and include access to the first two rounds of the women’s tournament at Bartow Arena. Single session tickets will go on sale March 6.
Premium reserved seating at Legacy Arena in Sections 8, 9, 24 and 25, Rows A-F are $250. Fans can purchase side court reserved seating for $180, while baseline reserved is $100. For additional information, call the UAB Athletics Ticket Office at (205) 975-UAB1.
