BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB women's tennis team wraps up its fall schedule this weekend when the Blazers travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to take part in the Roberta Alison Fall Classic at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
The first round of doubles is set to start on Friday at 9 a.m., followed by the first round of singles. The second round of singles will take place after lunch.
The second round of doubles will begin on Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by the third round of doubles. After lunch, the event will conclude with the third round of singles.
If inclement weather interferes on Friday or Saturday to the point of cancellation, then the schedule will be pushed back a day and matches will be played on Sunday, Oct. 29.
"We are excited to play in another outstanding tournament against top flight competition," UAB head coach Mark Tjia said." "Our goal is to continue to get better at thinking, acting and competing like the top teams in the country do. We made strides last weekend at regionals with our very young team and the goal is to continue to grow from the competition again this weekend."
