NOTES:
- The Blazers are off to their first 3-0 start at home since 2004 and look for their first 4-0 start since 1996.
- UAB is coming off a thrilling 23-22 victory over Louisiana Tech in which junior defensive end Stacy Keely blocked a last second field goal attempt to preserve UAB's victory. For his efforts, Keely was named the Conference USA Special Teams Player of the Week.
- Quarterback A.J. Erdely leads an offensive unit that is on pace for a record setting season. The junior has accounted for 13 total touchdowns (seven rushing, six passing) and has thrown just one interception through five games.
- Erdely's backfield running mate Spencer Brown is coming off a game in which he set a UAB freshman record with 168 rushing yards. He broke the previous record of 159 yards set by Jordan Howard vs. FIU during his freshman campaign in 2013.
- Wide receiver Andre Wilson has emerged as Erdely's top receiving target and has put together back-to-back 100-yard receiving games (150 at North Texas, 105 vs. Louisiana Tech). A threat in the return game as well, Wilson ranks fifth in Conference USA in all-purpose yards, averaging 120.2 per game.
- The Blazers have made 22 trips to the red zone this season and have scored on 20 of those. Of those 22 trips, 17 have resulted in touchdowns.
- UAB ranks 14th nationally in third down conversion percentage. The Blazers have converted 48.6 percent of their third down tries this season.
- UAB's pass defense ranks second in C-USA allowing just 185.0 yards per game. A big factor in that has been how disruptive the Blazers have been in the backfield. UAB is averaging 7.8 tackles for loss per game which ranks them 16th nationally.
- Middle Tennessee is coming off a 37-17 victory at FIU. Khalill Brooks is the reigning C-USA Defensive Player of the Week after setting a school record with five TFL. He also contributed three sacks which was one shy of the school record.
- Brooks ranks sixth nationally in TFLs and 11th nationally in sacks.
Along with the Hall of Fame festivities, it is also Scout Day and Parents Weekend. Tickets to the game are available by clicking here or calling the UAB Athletics Ticket Office at 205-975-UAB1.
