UAB Alumni Society to Offer Bus Trip to Middle Tennessee

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB Alumni Society recently announced it will sponsor a bus trip to Murfreesboro, Tenn., to provide alumni and fans an opportunity to watch the UAB men’s basketball team face Middle Tennessee on Sunday, Feb. 21 at 5 p.m.
Fans can purchase a seat on the bus and a ticket to the game for just $35. However, individuals already with tickets can secure a seat for only $20.
One bus is already full and limited seating remains for a second bus. Fans are encouraged to call the Alumni Society (205-934-3555) or CLICK HERE to reserve your seat.
Alumni and fans will meet at the UAB National Alumni Society House (1301 10th Avenue South) at 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 21 and depart for Middle Tennessee at 1 p.m.
“We’re certainly excited about the potential of having a large fan base for our road game against Middle Tennessee,” UAB head coach Jerod Haase said. “We expect this game to be a big challenge for us, so having fan support in the arena will be a huge benefit.”
UAB and Middle Tennessee currently sit in first and second place, respectively, in the Conference USA standings. The Blazers, who defeated Middle Tennessee earlier this season in Birmingham, lead the Blue Raiders by one game in the standings.
The Conference USA Men's and Women's Basketball Championships are set to return to Birmingham for the second consecutive year, marking the third time the Blazers will host the event. The men's tournament, as well as the women's semifinals and championship, will be played at Legacy Arena in downtown Birmingham, while the women's first round and quarterfinal action will take place at UAB's Bartow Arena.
