BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Members of the UAB women’s soccer team will sit down with UABSports.com throughout the 2014 season to conduct Q&A’s. Check back with UABSports.com weekly for different features as the season progresses.
Today's Q&A features freshman Bri Kuestersteffen, a native of Oklahoma City, Okla. Below Kuestersteffen talks about her time in Birmingham and much more.
What are your plans after you finish up at UAB?
“After I finish at UAB I would like to become an occupational therapist and work with children with special needs. I think that will be the most rewarding job, knowing you are impacting children’s lives forever.”
If you did not play soccer, what sport would you play?
“If I did not play soccer I would play basketball because I played it all through high school and love the intensity and competitiveness it takes to be on the floor.”
Who has been the biggest influence on your career?
“The biggest influence on my career would be my parents because without them I wouldn’t even be playing soccer. They have sacrificed a lot for me to be where I am and I couldn’t be here without them.”
If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
“If I could travel anywhere I would travel to wherever the world cup was being held, because I think it would be awesome to be around a bunch of people who have a passion for the sport just like me.”
What is one thing people do not know about you?
“Something people don’t know about me is that I love theatre and musical theatre. I love to perform on stage and play roles that are different and exciting.”
