BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Members of the UAB women’s soccer team will sit down with UABSports.com throughout the 2014 season to conduct Q&A’s. Check back with UABSports.com weekly for different features as the season progresses.
Today's Q&A features freshman Katie Foster, a native of McKinney, Texas. Below Foster talks about her time in Birmingham and much more.
If you did not play soccer, what sport would you play?
“I would run track if I didn't play soccer.”
What are your plans after you finish up at UAB?
“After I finish up at UAB I plan on either being a marine biologist or something in the health sciences field.”
If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
“If I could travel anywhere it would probably be to the Caribbean because I love tropical places and warm climates.”
What is one thing people do not know about you?
“One thing people don't know about me is that when I was younger I lived in Hong Kong for about a year and a half.”
Who has been the biggest influence on your career?
"Bruno Ferretti, one of my club coaches, has influenced me tremendously in my soccer career and life. He taught me the love of the game, which is something that is so important to me now.”
