BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Members of the UAB women’s soccer team will sit down with UABSports.com throughout the 2014 season to conduct Q&A’s. Check back with UABSports.com weekly for different features as the season progresses.
Today's Q&A features freshman Samantha Craig, a native of Dunwoody, Ga. Below Craig talks about her time in Birmingham and much more.
What are your plans after you finish up at UAB?
“After UAB, I want to go to medical school and be a surgeon or go to physical therapy school.”
If you did not play soccer, what sport would you play?
“If I did not play soccer I would most likely play basketball.”
If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
“If I could go anywhere in the world I'd go to a beach in Greece.”
What is your favorite thing about living in Birmingham?
“I love living in Birmingham because I've always wanted to live in the city.”
You play seven games on the road before hosting your first home game on Sept. 19, talk about how much of a grind that's going to be to continuously play on the road and be a little under halfway done with the season before you play at home.
“It doesn't matter where we have to go to play, we play hard and we always play to win. Being on the road won't make a difference.”
