BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Members of the UAB women's soccer team will sit down with UABSports.com throughout the 2014 season to conduct Q&A's. Check back with UABSports.com weekly for different features as the season progresses.
Today's Q&A features junior Ashley Naumoff, a native of Lenoir City, Tenn. Below Naumoff talks about her time in Birmingham and much more.
What will you miss most about UAB?
"The thing I will miss the most is the people. I've met so many interesting people during my time at UAB and honestly don't think I would have made the kind of friends I have now anywhere else. The diversity of people is something I don't know I would have found at any other school."
What is your favorite thing about living in Birmingham?
"My favorite thing about Birmingham is the massive amount of things to do and find in the city. There are so many shopping centers, parks and community events going on year round. I find something new every week."
What is one thing people do not know about you?
"I'm actually a very shy person. Most people who know me probably disagree with this because I'm typically the loudest, goofiest friend they have, but when it comes to meeting new people, it can be disastrous."
If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
"I know it may sound a little weird, but I'd love to go to Macedonia. I'm part Macedonian and still have family who lives there. It's an old country with a lot of history. I'm interested in learning more about the culture."
