Thaddeus Rideau Leaving UAB Men's Basketball Program

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- UAB men's basketball head coach Jerod Haase announced Friday that junior guard Thaddeus Rideau will be leaving the Blazers' program and will transfer to another school.
"Thaddeus has informed me that he is leaving the UAB basketball program and will be looking to transfer," head coach Jerod Haase said in a statement. "Thad always had a tremendous attitude and played an important role for us this past season. We understand his desire to transfer and we wish him the best of luck."
Rideau, a native of Port Arthur, Texas, came to UAB from Brown Mackie Community College in Kansas. In his only season with the Blazers, Rideau played in 10 games and averaged 1.7 points and 1.0 rebounds per contest. He scored a season-high eight points against Georgia Southern this past year and scored six points off two made 3-pointers against Charlotte in the 2014 Conference USA Tournament.
