Six Additional Men's Hoops Games To Be Televised

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Televised home games against North Carolina and Rutgers, as well as contests with three league opponents, highlight the UAB men's basketball television schedule, according to an announcement by Conference USA officials Wednesday.
In addition to the Charleston Classic, which will air on the ESPN family of networks, and the LSU game, which will air on COX Sports Television at 4 p.m. CT on Dec. 21, the Blazers will host Rutgers in the Bartow Classic at 6:30 p.m. CT on Monday, Nov. 11 in a game that will air on CSS. Meanwhile, the highly-anticipated home contest against North Carolina will be televised on FS1 on Sunday, Dec. 1 at 5 p.m. CT.
Rounding out the non-conference television slate, UAB's home game against Georgia Southern, which is set for 7 p.m. CT on Sunday, Dec. 15, will be televised on CSS.
Three C-USA contests featuring the Blazers will air on television. On Jan. 11, UAB clashes with Middle Tennessee at 5 p.m. CT on CSS. The Blazers then face Southern Miss at Bartow Arena on Feb. 13 at 8 p.m. CT in a matchup that will also air on CSS. UAB travels to Charlotte on Feb. 22 to face the 49ers on FS1 at 2:30 p.m. CT.
Any additional television contests and game times will be announced at a later date.
UAB tips off the 2013 season with Hoops on the Haasephalt, which is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 4.
