Men's Basketball Earns Seven Seed At C-USA Tournament

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The UAB men's basketball team earned the seventh seed at the Conference USA Tournament and will face the 10th-seeded SMU Mustangs on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. CT. The league tournament will take place in Tulsa, Okla. at the BOK Center from March 13-16.
The Blazers finished the regular season 15-16 overall and 7-9 in C-USA to be seeded seventh in the league tournament. SMU concluded the 2012-13 campaign with a record of 15-16 and 5-11 in league action.
UAB and SMU met on March 2, with the Blazers prevailing by a score of 74-69.
The winner of Wednesday's matchup will take on the No. 2 seed Southern Miss (23-8, 12-4 C-USA) on Thursday at Noon CT. The contest will be televised on the CBS Sports Network.
