BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB women's basketball team wraps up non-conference road action at Missouri on Wednesday. The Blazers and Tigers tip off at 7 p.m. CT.
Missouri leads the series, 1-0. Prior to Wednesday's upcoming matchup, the only meeting between the two teams was in 1985 when the Tigers earned a 74-58 win in Columbia.
UAB (7-4) has won five of its last six contests, with the only loss during the stretch coming in a 63-55 overtime decision to Illinois State in the Blazers' last outing on Dec. 21.
Sophomore guard Jala Harris leads UAB with 15.5 points per game, while junior center Meagan Brown has been the leading rebounder at 6.3 boards per game. Senior guard Amanda Peterson continues to inch closer to a pair of milestones. The Tigers sit at 7-4 after winning their last four games, including a 68-65 victory over UC Riverside in their last outing on Dec. 21.
RaeShara Brown has been key for Mizzou this season, leading the team in points (16.5), rebounds (7.3) and assists (4.3) per game. Christine Flores also averages double-digits for the Tigers at 14.5 points per game and is shooting 51 percent from the field.
