Women’s Basketball Falls at Murray State

MURRAY, Ky. – UAB women's basketball (2-3) fell 91-79 on the road at Murray State (4-2) on Saturday afternoon.
Four Blazers scored in double figures with Monae' Duffy leading the team with a career-high 26 points and 12 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. Eleecia Carter recorded 16 points and a season-best five rebounds, while Journey Armstead had a season-best 13 points and eight assists. Cali Smallwood tallied 13 points and added five rebounds.
The Racers also had four players score in double figures with Sharnecce Currie-Jelks leading the way with 20 points. Murray State shot 44 percent from the field and 36 percent from the 3-point range.

- Murray State used an 11-1 run to have its biggest lead if the game at 23 [51-28].
- The Racers led by 22 at halftime [54-32].
- The Green and Gold cut into the lead in the third and were 14-for-22 from the field and 2-for-5 from behind the arc.
- UAB used a 7-0 run to close out the frame and trail by 11 [74-64].
- Murray State continued to score and extends its lead to earn the 12-point win [91-79].
