BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB women's soccer team has jumped into the national spotlight by being ranked No. 24 in the latest Soccer America Top 25 poll, released on Monday. The Blazers are off to their best start in school history with a 6-0 record.
In UAB's six victories this season, the Blazers have tallied four shutouts. UAB has allowed just three goals on the year and has outscored opponents, 11-3.
Most recently, the Blazers traveled to Honolulu, Hawaii and picked up a pair of wins over Hawaii (2-0) and Pacific (2-1) in the Outrigger Hotel & Resorts Soccer Classic this past weekend.
UAB is the lone Conference USA school to be listed in the Soccer America top 25.
UAB's next outing will be on Thursday when it hosts Samford. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT at West Campus Field.
