Women's Soccer Set To Play At Southern Miss Sunday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB women's soccer team will play its second game in three days when it travels to Hattiesburg, Miss. for a match at Conference USA foe Southern Miss on Sunday. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m. CT at the Bell Track/Soccer Complex.
The Blazers are 6-3 overall and 0-1 in league play after dropping their conference opener at No. 20 UCF this past Friday, 3-1. UAB is looking to snap a three-game skid after starting the season 6-0. However, all three of the Blazers' losses have come at the hands of top 25 teams.
Sophomore forward Tiffini Turpin leads nine UAB players that have found the back of the net this season. Turpin has tallied a team-best three goals on the year, followed by senior forward/midfielder Danya Barsalona with two.
Southern Miss enters Sunday's contest with a 4-3 overall record, including a 0-1 mark in C-USA after falling to Memphis in its league opener this past Friday, 2-0.
Daniela Picado paces the Golden Eagles with four goals and nine points on the year. Stefani Buller and Keilah Hopkins have scored two goals apiece this season for Southern Miss.
Kickoff between UAB and Southern Miss is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT at Bell Track/Soccer Complex in Hattiesburg, Miss. The match can be followed live on Gametracker.
