Hey Blazer Fans,
This week was definitely a tough one. Thursday night our game against Samford got postponed and Sunday's game just did not go well.
Saturday morning we had a walk through in the rain and then left that afternoon for Tallahassee, Fla. It was a very long road trip. My roommate, Danya Barsalona, and I both came down with the flu and were quarantined till it was time to leave for the game. So, for the first time, we were not part of any of the pregame because we were sleeping with hopes that we would feel better by kickoff. One of our other seniors, Ayana Russell, wasn't feeling too well either. The combination of sick players and not coming out ready to play really hurt us, especially against a team of Florida State's calibre. We just did not play well and made a lot of mistakes that they capitalized on.
I think it was good for us though because we can use this game to get reorganized, look at our mistakes, and we will be more prepared for Wake Forest this weekend.
So Blazer fans, I need to get my rest because I need to be healthy by Saturday when we play No. 20 Wake Forest at home! Please come out to West Campus Field at 7 p.m. to support us.
