BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB women's soccer team's spring schedule is in full swing and it will continue on Saturday as the Blazers host Southeastern Conference foe Kentucky. Kickoff between the Blazers and the Wildcats is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT at West Campus Field and the event is free to all fans.
"We are very much looking forward to playing another quality team this weekend," said UAB head coach Paul Harbin. "It's exciting to play a match where both teams are not familiar with playing each other. It keeps the spring season fresh for the staff and players alike. I do know that Kentucky will be a well-coached, tough opponent."
UAB is coming off a successful weekend last week at the Decatur Showcase. Playing a pair of games last Saturday, the Blazers defeated Jacksonville State, 3-0, and played to a 1-1 tie with Vanderbilt.
The Blazers' next outing will be on Thursday, April 9 when they travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala. to take on in-state foe Alabama at 8 p.m. CT.
