Reality All-Stars Prevail In Match Against UAB, 4-3

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - On Saturday afternoon, the UAB women's soccer team took on a host of celebrities from reality television in Ethan Zohn's Reality All-Star Soccer Festival to help raise money for the Grassroot Soccer charity. The all-stars prevailed in a low-key, fun game of soccer, topping the Blazers by a count of 4-3.
Zohn's appearances for the weekend will support Grassroot Soccer, a global AIDS prevention organization he co-founded after winning the one million dollars on Survivor- Africa. Grassroot Soccer teams up with international soccer stars to deliver essential health prevention messages to children in the world's most HIV affected countries.
The Blazers' goals were scored by freshman Danya Barsalona, sophomore Caitlin Marple and junior Sally Palmer. Scoring for the all-stars was courtesy of Ryan Sutter (The Bachelorette), Chad Crittenden (Survivor-All-Stars), Jaime Primack (Event Coordinator) and Paul Harbin (UAB women's soccer head coach).
The game was laid-back and served as a good time for all in attendance. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Grassroot Soccer organization.
