BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB women's soccer team has added one game that was not on its original schedule. The Blazers will play the Georgia Bulldogs on Tuesday, September 19 at a neutral site in Atlanta, Ga. The match is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff at the Norcross Soccer Club. This will mark the third Southeastern Conference team that the Blazers will play within a 10 day period. UAB faced Alabama and Vanderbilt in previous contests.
UAB enters the contest with a record of 2-5 and is just coming off a 1-0 victory over Mercer this past Sunday. Georgia is boasting a 5-2 overall record, including its latest win over Georgia State, 2-0.
This will mark the second meeting between the two schools, and the first matchup in four years. UAB leads the all-time series, 1-0, as the Blazers earned a 3-2 double overtime victory over the Bulldogs in Birmingham in 2002.
