UAB, LSU To Play Late Game Thursday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- UAB and LSU will be Boise's final NCAA Tournament game of the day Thursday at Taco Bell Arena when the two schools square off in the opening round of the 2005 championship.
The 11th-seeded Blazers (21-10) and sixth-seeded Tigers (20-9) will tip off 30 minutes after the conclusion of the No. 3 seed Arizona-No. 14 Utah State game, slated to start at 5:20 p.m. MT. That should put the expected start time around 7:50 p.m. MT for UAB and LSU.
Other opening round games and their start times at Boise will be: No. 8 seed Pacific vs. No. 9 seed Pittsburgh at 10:40 a.m. MT with No. 1 seed Washington vs. No. 16 seed Montana starting 30 minutes after the Pacific-Pitt contest.
UAB season ticket holders will have priority to purchase tickets, priced at $42 per ticket per session, starting on Monday at 8 a.m. CT. Tickets for the Thursday evening session will go on sale to the general public Tuesday at Noon CT through the Blazers' athletics web site (www.uabsports.com).
