Women's Soccer Announces Spring Schedule

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB women's soccer team will host three weekends of soccer action this spring, announced UAB head coach Paul Harbin.
On March 9, UAB hosts the UAB In-State Challenge feature seven teams. Auburn, Birmingham Southern, Jacksonville State and Samford are the collegiate teams participating.
Three non-collegiate teams are also participating, Alabama ODP (Olympic Development Program), Tennessee ODP and AFC Lightning (Georgia). Games will begin at 9 a.m. and continue through 4 p.m. on West Campus Field and the Football Practice Field in the UAB campus. The Blazers will play Alabama ODP at 9 a.m. on West Campus Field, Jacksonville State at 11 a.m. and Birmingham Southern at 1 p.m. on the Football Practice field.
The following weekend, on March 15, the Blazers host a four-team round robin tournament. Vanderbilt, Team Boca (Florida) and the Greenville (S.C.) Futbol Club will also participate in the tournament. Play begins at 9 a.m. on West Campus Field when UAB takes on Team Boca. The Blazers will play again at 11:40 a.m. when they face the Greenville Futbol Club. UAB's final game of the day will be at 2:40 p.m. when it battles Vanderbilt.
April 11-13, the Blazers will host Alumni/Parents Weekend in Birmingham. April 12, UAB hosts the Alumni Game at 10 a.m. on West Campus Field.
