UAB Places Second At William & Mary Invitational

NEWPORT NEWS, Va.... Luna Aguilu, Moraine Ruddick, Kelli Dickerson, Kristen Kramer, Stacy Leiker, Rossitza Loukanova, Kara Morgan and Bogdana Zareva of the UAB synchronized swimming team grabbed a first place finish in the team routines, scoring a 87.733 at the William & Mary Invitational. The team routine finish helped led the Blazers to a second place finish overall at the event.
Zareva garnered a second place finish in the solo routines, scoring a 89.533. Zareva also teamed with Jessica Brown to place second in the duet routines with a score of 85.200. Aguilu and Loukanova placed third for the Blazers in the duet routines, scoring a 84.667.
The Blazers also took second in the trio routines as Aguliu, Loukanova and Ruddick scored an 82.533.
UAB will take on defending National Champion Ohio State Saturday at Bell Aquatic Center at 3 p.m.
