Lauren Ray joined the UAB Athletic Performance Staff in July 2023.
The Georgia native graduated from The University of Georgia with a B.S. in Kinesiology - Health and Physical Education and a M.S. in Kinesiology β Strength and Conditioning.Β

In 2022,Β RayΒ served as an intern with the UGA Strength and Conditioning staff and assisted with various teams.Β
In 2023Β RayΒ joined the Virginia TechΒ Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning Staff as an Assistant Coach.Β In her time at Virginia Tech she designed and implemented strength and conditioning protocols for Menβs and Womenβs Spirit and Menβs and Womenβs Track and Field jumping events. In addition,Β RayΒ assisted head strength coaches with 16 olympic sports teams.
RayΒ holds certifications with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) and USA Weightlifting (USAW L1).
