Ted Feeley is in his 10th year as the Associate Athletic Director for Communications at UAB and handles day-to-day public relations for the Blazers' football team, beach volleyball and the men's and women's golf programs. Along with his SID duties, Feeley is also the Sport Administrator for beach volleyball.
Feeley has been with the football program since 2016 and has been a part of the PR efforts during UAB's triumphant return to the playing field, which includes winning the 2018 & 2020 Conference USA Championships. Along with promoting the program, head coach Bill Clark was named the FWAA Eddie Robinson National Coach of the Year in 2018 and the Athletic Communications department was awarded the FWAA 'Super 11' Award in 2018 and 2022.
Prior to joining UAB, Feeley spent four years as the Director of Media Relations at the University of Pittsburgh. In his time with the Panthers, he worked primarily with football, women’s basketball and track and field.
A native of Syracuse, N.Y., Feeley spent 2011-12 as an Athletic Communications Assistant for the Orange. While working at Syracuse, he was the primary contact for volleyball, softball and women’s tennis and the secondary men’s basketball contact.
Before his time with the Orange, Feeley earned his master’s degree at Marshall University and served as a graduate assistant in the Thundering Herd’s athletic department from 2009-11. His primary sports were men’s soccer, women’s tennis and track and field.
From 2008-09, Feeley worked one year as a Sports Information Intern at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. In his time with the Nanooks, he covered the men’s and women’s basketball programs, cross country skiing and rifle.
Feeley is a 2008 graduate of Springfield College and was a four-year starter on the men’s soccer team. He earned his undergraduate degree from Springfield in sports journalism/communications and his master’s in adult and technical education from Marshall University in 2011.
He and his wife Caitlin have two daughters, Phoebe and Dorothy.
