Beach Volleyball Releases 2026 Schedule

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — UAB Beach Volleyball is set to play 33 matches across eight weekends during the Spring 2026 season. The Blazers will face four 2025 NCAA tournament teams and seven programs who finished the 2025 season in the AVCA Final Top 20 Poll.
The Blazers open the season with their only five-match weekend of the season at the Unconquered Invitational, hosted by Florida State. UAB starts the weekend on Friday, February 20 against the Seminoles at 8 a.m. CT. UAB finishes out opening day with a mid-day match against Southeastern Louisiana and evening match versus Georgia State. UAB wraps the Unconquered Invitational on Saturday with matches against Cal State Bakersfield and North Alabama.
Weekend two has the Blazers in Baton Rouge, La. for the Tiger Beach Challenge, hosted by LSU. The Blazers kick off the weekend against Washington, once again meeting the Husky duo that Jasmine Haas and Olivia Stant defeated at the AVCA Pairs National Championship in November. The Blazers will also face ULM, Tulane, and Houston Christian during the weekend in the bayou. The Tiger Beach Challenge is the only away weekend of the season in which UAB does not play the host school.
UAB heads out West to the LBSU Invite to take on four California schools. The Blazers start the weekend against hosts Long Beach State as well as Santa Clara. The Blazers then face national runner-ups LMU Saturday morning, before closing the weekend with a rematch against Cal State Bakersfield.
From Pacific Coast to Atlantic Coast, the Blazers play week four in DeLand, Fla. at the Stetson Invitational. UAB begins the weekend with Southern Miss on Friday morning and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the afternoon. Saturday matches the Blazers against a pair of top-20 teams from the end of 2025: Stetson and Florida Gulf Coast.
UAB hosts its first of two home events March 20-21, welcoming Austin Peay, South Carolina, and North Alabama to the Magic City for the March to May. The Blazers will open the weekend against Austin Peay at 9 a.m. before playing South Carolina at 11 a.m. UAB and the Gamecocks will play again the next afternoon at 1 p.m. before UAB and North Alabama close the weekend at 3 p.m.
UAB heads to Clearwater, Fla. for the Stampede Beach Opener on March 27-28. The Blazers will take on South Florida, UTEP, Sam Houston, and Sacramento State across the weekend. Dates and times for each match are TBA.
The Blazers open April at Diggin Duals hosted by Georgia State. UAB will take on Mercer and North Alabama on day one before playing the host Panthers and South Florida on Saturday.
UAB closes the regular season with its second home event of the season, hosting ULM and Tulane at noon and 4 p.m., respectively. The Blazers finish the season with rematches against Houston Christian and Mercer, also at noon and 4 p.m., respectively.
The postseason begins April 23 with the Conference USA Championships, running from April 23-25. The NCAA Championships in Gulf Shores, Ala., hosted by UAB are scheduled for May 1-3.
