HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – UAB's duo of Jasmine Haas and Olivia Stant finished in a tie for 15th place at AVCA Pairs Nationals last week in Huntsville.
Highlighted by defeating Washington and Cal, Haas and Stant advanced further than any pair in UAB history.
The senior duo topped Washington in straight sets, then defeated Cal in three to advance to the Sweet 16 of the winner's bracket. A closely contested loss to USC (21-17, 21-17) knocked them out of the single elimination tournament but matches followed against LSU and Loyola Marymount. When all was said and done, UAB's final match against Texas was not played and those two teams tied for 15th in the 64-team bracket.
Haas and Stant have already etched their names into the UAB record book and have another full spring season to cement themselves as the most prolific pair in school history. They played to an overall record of 26-7 on Court 1 last year and look to surpass that this season with hopes of leading UAB to its first NCAA Tournament appearance in school history.
The Blazers open the 2026 season in late February at Florida State.
