Alison Seberger enters her fourth season as the UAB women’s basketball assistant coach for the 2024-25 season.
During her third season with the Blazers, she assisted in setting the program record for the most made threes in a single game at Tulane (20). Seberger saw Mia Moore be named AAC Player of the Week and selected to the AAC Honor Roll four times, along with Denim DeShields who earned a spot on the Honor Roll three times. She also assisted in coach Jade Weathersby to two AAC Freshman of the Week.
Also in 2024, Seberger assisted in helping Moore and Deshields earn AAC All-Conference Third Team, while Moore was also named to the All-Newcomer Team.
In 2022-23, Seberger’s second season with UAB, she assisted in coaching Margaret Whitley to an All-Conference USA Second Team selection, Denim DeShields to a Conference USA All-Freshman Team selection and three C-USA Freshman of the Week.
In her first season as an assistant at UAB, she coached Conference USA All-Conference and All-Defensive selection Zakyia Weathersby, who led the league in six categories including rebounding and shooting percentage.
Before arriving to UAB, she spent two seasons at North Alabama. She came to UNA after spending the previous three seasons at Kent State, where she served as director of basketball operations.
At Kent State, Seberger's primary responsibilities included coordinating the team's travel arrangements and film exchange, supervising the team's managerial staff, running summer camps and performing other administrative tasks.
Prior to joining the Kent State staff, Seberger spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Division II Lenior-Rhyne in Hickory, North Carolina. Her duties included coordinating travel, overseeing the team managerial staff, fulfilling recruiting and compliance needs, directing game day operations, managing the team's community outreach efforts and serving as an assistant strength and conditioning coach among other coaching functions.
Seberger played at Illinois State from 2010-14, serving as a team captain in her final season and earning numerous academic and leadership accolades. Throughout her playing years, she coached an AAU team, completed an internship in marketing and was an Illinois State camp counselor and university marketing representative.
The Geneva, Illinois native earned a bachelor's degree in communication studies from Illinois State and completed a master's degree in leadership at Lenoir-Rhyne in 2016.
