- Duffy (22 points), Smallwood (19 points), Munoz (16 points) and Moffitt (12 points) all scored in double figures to lead the UAB offense in the 88-87 loss at East Carolina.
- Smallwood recorded 500 career points when she made a jump shot early in the second quarter.
- Smallwood scored 19 points on 8-for-13 shooting and 3-for-6 from beyond the arc.
- Duffy tallied 19 rebounds for a career-best on top of 22 points for her third double-double of the season.
- Duffy was 9-for-12 from field goal range and 14 of her 19 rebounds were defensive.
- Armstead matched her career-high 11 assists and season-best two steals.
- The Blazers shot 51 percent from the floor, making it the second-best percentage this season.
- The game finished with nine lead changes and five tied scores.
- The game marks the first time this season that UAB has gone into overtime.
- East Carolina hit a three-pointer in overtime to seal the win.
- Charlotte is 7-7 on the season and defeated Memphis 62-49 on Wednesday to begin conference play.
- Princess Anderson leads the 49ers with 14.5 points per game, while Zoe Best is following behind by averaging 10.1 points. Asianae Nicholson leads Charlotte with 8.2 rebounds per game.
- The Blazers face Charlotte for the 42nd time in program history.
- The 49ers lead the series 22-19 and are 10-6 when playing at home.
- The last matchup took place on Feb. 8, 2025, where UAB earned an 86-80 win.
