SCOUTING THE HORNETS
Jose' Vasquez enters his 10th season as the head coach of the Hornets. ASU was picked third in the SWAC Preseason Poll and received two first place votes. The Hornets' leading hitter is Miguel Oropeza who leads the club with a .379 batting average and has 11 hits. Alex Espaillat (.333), Jackson Williams (.310), and Devin Chandler (.300) are also north of the .300 clip for the Hornets. Jaxon Baptist will be making his second career start on Tuesday.

- UAB tallied its third power 4 win of the season over the weekend against Cincinnati.
- UAB leads the all-time series over Alabama State, 33-5, and 23-0 in Birmingham. The Blazers have also won seven of the last eight games against the Hornets.
