BIRMINGHAM – UAB student-athletes posted record success in the classroom during the Fall 2025 semester, highlighted by a collective departmental 3.46 GPA.
The fall semester experienced department-wide excellence as each program earned a team GPA of 3.0 or better, which was led by UAB women's tennis who had the highest overall GPA of 3.90, followed by UAB men's tennis who had a 3.89 team GPA.
Individually, 109 student-athletes (29 percent) earned a perfect 4.0 Fall GPA, while 110 Blazers (29 percent) were above a 3.5 and 313 (83 percent) were above a 3.0.
"UAB is a World-Class institution that attracts outstanding student-athletes who work incredibly hard in the classroom, compete at a high level in their sport, and serve our community," UAB Director of Athletics Mark Ingram said. "We are so proud of their historic academic success while balancing the high demands of college athletics. I'm also extremely grateful to our academic staff who works diligently to guide our student-athletes in their pursuit of academic excellence."
In addition, another core value of giving back to the local community was on full display as UAB student-athletes served 1,796 hours of community service in the fall semester which equated to $62,500 of economic impact.
