Three Blazers Named to American Conference Watch List

BIRMINGHAM – The American Conference released its preseason Watch List with three Blazers representing UAB.
Midfielder Abbey Burns, forward Jette Zimmer and defender Louise Larsson were all selected to the Watch List.
Last season Burns played and started in 16 matches while leading the team with seven goals and added two assists. Burns was also named to the All-AAC First Team and was selected as Offensive Player of the Week during the season.
Zimmer saw action and started in 15 matches. She ranked second on the team with four goals and was selected to the All-AAC Second Team and earned Honorable Mention during the year.
Larsson played in 17 matches and had 16 starts as a true freshman. She logged the third most minutes on the team (1,435) and played stout defense the entire season. For Larsson's efforts on the pitch, she earned a spot on the All-AAC Freshman Team.
The Blazers open the 2025 season on August 14 against UCF at PNC Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.
