CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UAB women's tennis (14-7, 1-2 AAC) fell at No. 40 Charlotte (17-4, 3-1 AAC) 4-0 on Friday morning.

The 49ers opened the match by taking the doubles point on Courts 2 and 3.

Doubles
1. Amira Badawi/Sara Suchankova (CLT) vs. Vanessa Mellynchuk/Mackenzie White (UAB) 5-4, unfinished
2. Prisca Abbas/Lucia Aranda (CLT) def. Kristyna Damaskova/Nera Tesankic (UAB) 6-3
3. Shona Nakano/Ni Xi (CLT) def. Maria Paz Ospina/Enya Ratkic (UAB) 6-3

Charlotte was able to grab three singles points to clinch the match. The other three courts were all the third set but went unfinished after the 49ers had claimed the win.
