BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's basketball head coach Andy Kennedy announced the signing of Murray State transfer KyeRon Lindsay on Sunday.
"Great to have KyeRon join our program. Kye is a strong, physical, experienced front court player who we believe can make a real impact on next season's team. We love the 'edge' that he brings with his approach!!"
Lindsay was a four star recruit out of high school ranking in the top 100 nationally by 247sports.com (87th). He was one of the top talents out of Texas for the Class of 2022, ranking No. 7 by 247Sports.com, No. 11 by On3.com, and No. 16 by ESPN.com.
The Denton, Texas native started his career at Georgia where he averaged 6.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 20.2 minutes of playing time. Following his freshman season, he transferred to Texas Tech where he saw 10 games of action averaging 2.7 points and 1.3 rebounds per game.
Most recently, Lindsay played the 2024-25 season at Murray State where he averaged 6.6 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. He grabbed MVC Player of the Week honors on November 18th, because of his performance at Middle Tennessee where he scored a career high in points (27). He finished with a stat line of 27 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and five blocks against MTSU.
Lindsay joins Jacob Meyer and Chance Westry as the third transfer portal signee to come to UAB ahead of the 2025-26 season. The Blazers have also added a pair of high school signees in Lance Carr and Salim London in addition to four JUCO signees in Evan Chatman, Ari Gooch, Dayjaun Anderson and João Das Chagas.
