Colin Daniel Named American Conference Pitcher of the Week for Second Time

BIRMINGHAM - UAB right-handed pitcher Colin Daniel has been named American Conference Pitcher of the Week after his performance on Saturday against North Alabama. This is the second time this season Daniel has received the honor with the first award coming after his first start of the season.
The junior tossed seven shutout innings, struck out three, and faced 22 batters. He induced nine ground ball outs, two of which resulted in double plays. Daniel is now 3-0 with a 2.25 ERA, with 15 strikeouts and just six walks.
Daniel and the Blazers return to action on Wednesday, March 5 as they host the 22nd ranked Auburn Tigers at Regions Field at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, $7 for youth (16 and under) can be purchased here or on-site at Regions Field.
