BIRMINGHAM - UAB Baseball (15-9) hosts the Jacksonville State Gamecocks (15-9) on Tuesday night at Young Memorial Field. Tuesday's game wraps up a 4-game homestand for the Blazers and is also the first midweek game at YMF since Alabama A&M came to town on February 18.

THE LAST TIME OUT
The Blazers dropped two out of three games at home to South Florida in their first American Conference series this season. The Bulls outhit UAB in all three games. In Sunday's game, Camden Hayslip went 3-4 with two home runs and a double. Logan Braunschweig reached in his 52nd consecutive game but it ultimately was not enough as the Blazers fell, 9-7.

The Jacksonville State Gamecocks come in with an identical 15-9 (1-2) record as UAB. JSU is in its second season in Conference USA and was picked 10th in the preseason poll. Infielder Caleb Johnson was tabbed with Preseason All-Conference honors. Colton Hegwood is the team's leading hitter with a .382 batting average. Steve Bieser is in his second season at the helm for the Gamecocks.
