#22 Florida Atlantic Visits Mary Bowers Field

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB Softball team (11-13) will host Florida Atlantic (24-4) for the second conference series of the year Friday and Sunday. Because of inclement weather in the area, there will be a double header on Friday and one game on Sunday.

UAB comes off their first conference series of the year against South Florida. The Blazers won game one before dropping the final two games of the series. UAB then hosted their first midweek at home this season against Middle Tennessee. The Blazers won the game on Tuesday night 4-2 behind 8 hits and no errors.

UAB starts an eight-game home stand including two conference series and two midweeks. UAB holds a 5-11 record against UAB with the last win coming in 2023. FAU has won five straight including seven of the last eight games. FAU scored 24 runs in the series sweep of the Blazers last year.

BROADCAST SCHEDULE
The game will be streamed on ESPN+ Friday at 2:00 p.m. & 4:00 p.m., and Sunday at 12:00 p.m., while live statistics can be found here.

SERIES HISTORY
FAU leads the series 11-5. FAU swept last year's series, scoring 24 runs over three games. FAU has won five straight including seven of the last eight games.

LAST MEETING
Four seventh inning runs lifted the Owls over UAB in game three of last year's series. This was the last time the two teams have played. UAB led 4-1 heading into the seventh inning, but did not hold on to the lead.
