Braunschweig, Cheatham Earn Weekly American Conference Honors

BIRMINGHAM - Senior outfielder Logan Braunschweig and LHP Cole Cheatham have earned American Conference honors after their performances this past week. Braunschweig was named Player of the Week and Cheatham was tabbed as an Honorable Mention.
Braunschweig finished the week going 6-for-14 at the plate with seven runs scored, 6-for-6 on stolen bases, four RBI, and four walks. He also was 9-of-9 on total chances in the field this week. The Alabaster, Alabama native is slashing .458/.606/.758 through seven games this season. He has recorded a hit in all seven games this season, and is currently on an American Conference leading 35-game on-base streak that dates back to last season.
Senior southpaw Cole Cheatham earned Honorable Mention honors after his stellar performance against South Alabama on Friday. The Blazers' ace earned the win after throwing six scoreless innings, striking out five and surrendered just two walks and two hits on 22 batters faced.
