BIRMINGHAM, ALA. - The UAB men's basketball team will host High Point for their second straight home game on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. in Bartow Arena. High Point visits Bartow Arena for the first time ever after starting the basketball program in the 1927-28 season.

LAST TIME OUT

UAB lost to a SWAC school for the first time in its history 77-74 at home against Alabama State.
Chance Westry had his second 20+ point game as a Blazer, scoring 25 points. This was a career high for Westry.
Daniel Rivera got his 500th rebound of his career with eight total against Alabama State.
Evan Chatman started his first Division I basketball game last night scoring four points and collecting nine rebounds.
High Point beat Jacksonville at home 85-64 on top of four players in double figures.

SCOUTING HIGH POINT

Head coach Flynn Clayman is a Troy Graduate (2016) in his first year as a head coach.
High Point brings back eight players from last year's 26-9 team. They lost their top four scorers from a year ago.
Cam'Ron Fletcher leads the team in points (18.0) and rebounds (9.33) per game. He has played at Kentucky, Florida State, and Xavier.
Terry Anderson is second on the team in points (15.0 per game) and steals (six).
High Point has defeated Furman, Averett, and Jacksonville to start the season.
The Panthers are ranked highly in four national statistical categories: eighth in points per game (103.0), fourth in field goal percentage (57.4), third in assist/turnover ratio (2.81), and second in steals per game (16.0).

MILESTONE WATCH

Daniel Rivera captured nine rebounds against Alabama State, surpassing 500 in his collegiate career.
Rivera scored his 800th point of his collegiate career against NC State.
Rivera is 50 minutes away from 2000 career minutes.
Chance Westry set a career high in points with 25 against Alabama State.
KyeRon Lindsay-Martin scored his 300th career point against MVSU last week.
Ahmad Robinson is 12 three-pointers away from 100 on his career.
Jacob Meyer sits at 822 career points, just 178 away from 1000.
Andy Kennedy is eight wins away from 400 wins as a head coach.

SERIES HISTORY

This will be the 2nd all-time meeting between the two teams. The campuses are separated by 467 miles.
High Point holds a 1-0 record in the series with the last matchup coming in 2024 (68-65).

High Point started basketball during the 1927-28 season.
The Panthers went to the NCAA Tournament a year ago winning 26 games.
High Point has no Power Four team on the schedule this year.

UAB is one of six DI teams to have made four consecutive conference championship games (Houston, Yale, Drake, Gonzaga, and Saint Mary's).
The Blazers are coming off their fifth straight 20+ win season.
Over the last five years, UAB has won 125 games which is tied for eleventh most in the NCAA during that period. That is also the most by any UAB coach during a five-year span.
The Blazers have four straight post-season appearances including two NCAA tournament appearances and two NIT appearances.
