BIRMINGHAM - The UAB Track & Field team saw six personal records fall on Friday at the Samford Invite at the Birmingham Crossplex.
"We saw a lot of positive things from the team today," said Head Coach Kurt Thomas. "Our meet got canceled last weekend so this is our first time seeing them compete coming off the break and see what else we need to work on. I'm very proud of Juliana and Olivia from competing and executing things in their first Pentathlon ever. That's a hard day. Gabby (Washington) and Hannah Smith had some nice 60m races. Christiana (Mudd) hurdles very well and got 2 new PRs. Lidia (Longo) was a bright spot and the other milers executed good races and competed hard. Hope (Foster) had a great high jump and PRd with some nice attempts at high bars. We have lots to work on, but I'm proud of how we started and see what we'll do the next time we compete."
