Reese Grabs 7th Double-Digit Kill Total of the Year

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB volleyball were swept at Memphis this afternoon. The Blazers tied their lowest set assist for the season with just 26.
Three attack errors by Memphis gave UAB an early 6-3 lead. That was quickly diminished when Memphis tied the set up at 11-11 after a service ace by Abigail Schlueter. The Tigers won ten out of the next 12 points to take a huge lead and give them set one.
The Blazers had their chance in the second set with Memphis hitting just .122, but got behind quickly 6-2. That lead turned into a seven point lead with Jordan Heatherly put one down. The Tigers went on two-five point streaks to give them the 25-13 set win.
Memphis dominated the third set only allowing 13 UAB points. The Blazers hit a game best of .195, but did not have any blocks and Memphis hit .424. Tiffany Snook led the game with a .611 kill percentage and 18 kills. Memphis won this one 3-0 and moved to 1-1 in conference play.
Mia Reese led the Blazers with 10 kills and just two errors.
Next Game
UAB will travel to New Orleans, LA to face Tulane on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
