NEW ORLEANS - 343 miles separate Tulane and UAB as the Blazers will travel to New Orleans on Wednesday to face the Green Wave. The game will be played at 6:30 p.m. central time on.
Tulane enters Wednesday's game at an 8-6 record with an 0-2 conference record. The Green Wave dropped the conference opener to Rice 2-3 and the second match to North Texas 0-3. Tulane finished 6-25 last year with a 2-17 conference record, which was last in the American.
Wichita State enters the Friday match with a 7-7 record having competed against ranked teams. The Shockers are 2-0 to start American Athletic Conference play with win over Temple and Memphis.
BACK ON TRACK
UAB is on a six game losing streak and is looking to get back to winning ways in Louisiana. The last time the Blazers were in Louisiana they lost to Tulane 1-3 in 2023. UAB is 2-1 over the last three years in the state and have only played six matches in Louisiana over the last 10 years.
In the six game losing streak UAB has had a hitting percentage of .142, which is much lower than their .200 season average. Mia Reese has stepped up over the last two games hitting .290 with 24 kills. Another bright spot is freshman Abby Jones that is hitting .288 with 22 kills over the last three games.

UAB has played Tulane a total of 35 times with a record of 12-23. The Blazers have lost the last five, but are 2-2 in the last four in New Orleans. UAB played Tulane for the first time in 1988 but have only played two times in the last 11 years.
