UAB Men's Soccer Releases 2024 Schedule

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's soccer released its schedule for the 2024 season on Wednesday for the program's first season under head coach David Lilly. The Blazers will face five programs that reached the NCAA Tournament last season.
"We are excited to announce our 2024 schedule." Lilly said, "We look forward to playing a tough non-conference schedule to help prepare us for the challenges ahead in the AAC."
The Blazers will open the season with a trio of exhibition matches, beginning with a pair at PNC Field on August 9 against Faulkner and August 12 against Lipscomb. UAB will then face Belmont in Nashville to close the preseason slate.
To open the new era of Blazer soccer, UAB will host two-time national champion North Carolina on Thursday, August 22. The Blazers will then host Georgia State (Aug. 27) and Northern Kentucky (Sept. 1) the following week at PNC Field.
Following the trio of home matches to begin the regular season, UAB will then hit the road for three straight contests at North Florida (Sept. 6), Stetson (Sept. 9) and Georgia Southern (Sept. 15).
UAB will open American Conference play at home against Florida Atlantic on September 21 against Florida Atlantic before returning to non-conference play to face Louisville on the road (Sept. 24).
Returning to conference play, the Blazers will go on the road to face Memphis (Sept. 28) and FIU (Oct. 5) before hosting Tulsa (Oct. 12) and Temple (Oct. 19). The match against Temple will serve as Senior Night.
The Blazers will travel to Gardner-Webb for the final non-conference match of the season (Oct. 27) before traveling to Charlotte (Oct. 27). UAB closes the regular season at home against South Florida on November 1 for Alumni Weekend.
