Blazers on the Road Again as Baseball Travels to Tuscaloosa

TUSCALOOSA, AL - The UAB baseball team will travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to face the #18 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. This will be the second time the two teams have faced each other this year. It took 10 innings to separate the teams in February with Alabama winning 9-7.
Alabama Notes
Alabama is coming off a series win over #1 ranked Arkansas, after losing game one the Tide were able to win two straight. Alabama will start Kade Snell, a left handed pitcher out of Dothan, Alabama, who has made six appearances with 17.0 innings pitched. He currently holds a 5.29 ERA while also making quite a few appearances in the batter's box. Snell has 63 at bats and a .317 batting average.
UAB Notes
UAB will start Freshman, RHP Brooks House. House has appeared in 12 games with 21.2 innings pitched and a 6.65 ERA. The Blazers are coming off a series loss to Rice in Houston, Texas where the Owls outscored UAB 11-9. Blayze Berry is nationally ranked in two categories including ERA and strikeouts. He is ranked 69th in strikeouts with 58. He is also ranked 45th in ERA with a 2.44 earned run average. Colin Daniel is ranked 17th in victories with a 6-1 record. Leading UAB in the hitting department are Logan Braunschweig (.307) and Nick Hollifield (.278). Brayton Brown leads the team in slugging % with .477 at the DH position.

Alabama leads the series 57-28 with UAB taking two out of three at Regions Field. UAB beat Alabama last year in a 4-3 walk off and the Blazers last won a game in Tuscaloosa in 2022 by a score of 7-6.
