Baseball Falls in Game Two Against Wichita State

Wichita State scored first again in game two this time scoring two runs in the 2nd inning. In the same inning UAB grabbed one run on a Nick Hollifield single to right field. The hit would score Reed Latimer from 2nd base.
Nobody would score again until the 7th inning, in part to the pitching from starter Braxton Shleton. Shelton gave up two earned runs in his 6.0 innings, with six punchouts. Wichita State scored four total runs in the 7th. The first scoring play was a three run home run to left field. The second scoring play was a sacrifice bunt that scored a runner from 3rd base.
UAB stranded 11 runners on base including leaving six runners on base in innings 7-9. UAB did grab one more run in the 8th inning on a ground out to shortstop. The Shockers went on to score three more runs in the 9th inning ending the scoring at 9-2.
Game three of the series will be played tomorrow at 12 p.m.
