UAB Baseball Secures First Series Sweep Since 2022

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB baseball team gets their first season series sweep since 2022. The Blazers beat Lindenwood in game three by a score of 10-4.

Brayton Brown added another RBI, to his already four in the series, with a single to left center field. The Blazers have scored early and often over the last 10 games, scoring in the 1st inning in six of those games.

Lindenwood came back in the 2nd inning and scored two runs on two hits and an error by UAB.

The UAB Blazers would then go on to score the next nine runs between innings 3-6. In the 3rd inning Tyler Waugh started the scoring off with a bases loaded infield single. Alan Choo then doubled to center field and advanced to third on a fielding error by Lindenwood. UAB scored four runs on three hits and one error in the 3rd inning.

In innings 4-6 UAB were able to grab six more runs. The first on a sacrifice fly by Gavin Lewis Jr. A wild pitch and a fly out then scored two runs in the 5th. Another RBI by Brayton Brown scored Logan Braunschweig in the 6th inning. Braunschweig also scored Darryl Buggs in that inning.

Lindenwood stole one more run in the 9th inning on a sacrifice fly to left field.
