UAB Baseball Wins Game Three in Nashville

Nashville - The UAB baseball team won game three in Nashville. The Blazers out hit Belmont 8-7 in route to victory.

UAB once again scored in the 1st inning, now for the 5th straight game. UAB scored four runs in the 1st and 2nd inning with a total of three hits. Darryl Buggs hit a two RBI single to right field and then Tyler Harrington drove in Buggs. A double steal then scored Austin Young making the score 4-0 UAB.

Belmont added two in the second inning on a triple by Max Blessinger.

UAB scored again in the 6th inning when Gavin Lewis Jr. tripled and then Tyler Waugh hit a deep home run to right field. UAB led 6-2.

Colin Daniel and the UAB defense were able to get out of a few jams through inning seven. Most notably, the Blazers escaped bases loaded and one out allowing one run to be scored.

Belmont added one run in the 7th on an RBI walk. UAB scored one more in the 8th, and this time the Blazers were able to grab one hit and then a throwing error by Belmont.

No runs scored in the 9th inning as the Blazers retired the last three batters.

Next Game
UAB will face Jacksonville State in a Wednesday night midweek game. First pitch will be at 6 PM in Jacksonville, AL.
